How to roast chestnuts
Chestnut season has arrived! These little tree nuts have many health benefits that you may not know about. They help in maintaining blood flow rate as they are rich in potassium. The ellagic acid in chestnuts also supports adequate thyroid function. They are delicious snack that is easy to cook! Here is how to roast our delicious chestnuts.
Cut a criss - cross slit across the round face of the chestnut shell using a small serrated knife.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius and arrange the chestnuts cut side up onto a baking tray
Roast chestnuts for 15 - 20 minutes or until the shell splits open.
Once your chestnuts have cooled down peel your nuts and enjoy straight from the shell or add them into a dish
